Alica and Samuel’s Love Story in Florence
Sometimes things fall into place perfectly, as in the case of Alica and Samuels’s engagement shoot. It was a lovely sunny spring morning in beautiful and historic Florence, Italy, so already we had something great to start with. Alica & Sam were also easy to take photographs of and looked so perfect together. This pre-wedding session happened during our Tuscan wedding editorial which took place in April.2023. We all took the opportunity to get up one morning and explore Florence before all the tourists did.
Pre-wedding Session in Tuscany
Our first location was not the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge, but the bridge next to it Ponte Santa Trinità. I have made this decision based on sunlight. At the time we arrived at the location, it was sunrise and not that much sun was coming out, therefore I wanted to make sure we got enough light. While great light is always more important than a good location. After a quick walk around the bridge, we went to Ponte Vecchio Bridge to capture the most famous bridge in Florence. The bridge was unfortunately already filling up with tourists who had the same idea as we did. However, we made it work and created studying engagement images. The sunlight was just perfect on the spot. Ponte Vecchio Bridge is a great place to visit, as it offers a sense of history and belonging like every Italian city.
Tuscany Engagement Session
We finally ended our engagement session on the busy streets of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore where the sun was just perfect. That beautiful golden light started to show up between buildings and the Cathedral. At this time, there were quite a few tourists walking around and enjoying the historic building. The streets of Florence were the feature point as we walked over to the final location, which was Vista Panoramica di Firenze. Such a beautiful day to remember. We all felt blessed to have had such great weather and locations to capture all of these elegant Italian-like pre-wedding images in Florence. Now let’s move on to the next phase and have fun at the wedding.
